“What does it mean to be humble? it means Sumedha Saha. Wherever you go in this world perform Nam Sankirtan. Forget all of this psychophysical business. The soul has to go back home, back to Godhead and the way that’s going to happen is if the soul agrees to engage all of his psychophysical energies and his whole heart in the performance of sneha, samyukta Harinam Sankirtan.
We don’t know what’s gonna happen in the future, but right now we can take the opportunity, right now we have the facility to congregate and chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare…Yuga dharma doesn’t change. The next yuga is Satya Yuga and for them contemplated peaceful meditation is where it stands. But in Kali Yuga you got to get it fired up.
Chanting and dancing from the heart like you really mean it, like you really want Lord Caitanya’s mercy, so that you can even think, even hope to go back home to Godhead in this one lifetime.” – Sripad Aindra Prabhu 2009
This video was taken in São Miguel Island and its capital Ponta Delgada during our 20-th wedding anniversary. We love volcanic islands and Azores is a perfect spot. Some people stay home all their life long. This is not about us. Nevertheless, I’ve titled this track 引きこもり (Hikikomori), this world with all it’s beauty is nothing but a prison. It’s not a place to be. We travel day dreaming in our shells from borth to death. We switch places and bodies in this wirpool of sansara.
When I was a kid, my father used to take me to a barber. I would climb a chair and the girl would start to do me a haircut. Those were a moments of true pleasure to me. Those sounds, smells and my father’s smily eyes watching me from the conner of the room. All of that is still with me.
The child laugh sample I used in the track was recorded eleven years ago and belonged to my eldest son Mukunda. He was one year old back then. Childhood was my second track I ever wrote. It was included into my first album “Ykish”. Get it from iTunes.
This is more like a collection of dated tracks which were piling up over last few years. Not making music on a regular basis I don’t find or call myself a musician. 2013 brought me a few gigs booked though. I was heavily inspired by Iceland and it’s pure beauty.
All tracks were recorded, mixed and produced by Fudo Kazuki on-the-go in various places such as home, airports, hotels, planes.
Yaroshi – bass in “Childhood”
* Ain’t Got Nobody was originally recorded by Reykjavik based Sísý Ey.
* Gentle Dead People was originally recorded and released by Sistra, Khabarovsk band now living and working in Moscow, RU
